About Oborne Contracting
Thirty years, and a name on every job
Oborne Contracting is an owner-led design-build firm. For more than three decades we’ve renovated, restored and remodelled homes across the Greater Toronto Area — and put the Oborne name on every one.
Who we are
Design-build, done by one team
We handle the whole project under one roof — from the first consultation and the drawings, through construction management, to the day we hand over your warranty. One accountable contractor, start to finish, so nothing falls between the trades.
That includes our in-house interior design division, Georgia Oborne Interiors, so the same team that builds your room can help design and style it.

How a project runs
Our five-step process
From the first meeting to the end of your warranty, here’s exactly what to expect.
- 01
Consultation
We meet at your home to talk through the project, budget, feasibility and timeline, review permit requirements, and document the site with photos and measurements.
- 02
Estimating & Contract
You receive a clear budgetary estimate — with company information, references and a sample contract — then a detailed scope of work with costs, terms and a payment schedule.
- 03
Design
When your project needs it, we produce architectural and engineering drawings that comply with local building codes, so construction is safe and legal.
- 04
Construction
Your construction director walks the site, sets up safely, and keeps communication open with site meetings at every key milestone through to completion.
- 05
Post-Construction Care
We hand over warranty information and maintenance guidance, and stay reachable for service throughout the entire warranty period.
Your protection
Written warranties & guidelines
The best time to settle how problems get handled is before there are any. So we put it in the contract.
Warranties in writing
Our warranties cover both materials and workmanship, and they’re set out in your contract — documented and signed, not left to a handshake.
Construction Performance Guidelines
Every contract includes clear Construction Performance Guidelines: how any question about a defect is assessed and resolved, so expectations are agreed before work begins.
Service through the warranty period
We hand over warranty and maintenance information at completion, and stay reachable to address anything that needs attention during the warranty period.
